Google Summer of Code 2010

 

This is our list of project ideas for the Google Summer of Code program in 2010.

Dear students, if you want to apply for doing a Google Summer of Code project with us you can choose a project from this list but you can also present your own idea fitting to any of the Linux Standards Base (LSB) group, OpenPrinting, Driver Backport, Wireless LAN (802.11) and our other work groups.

Dates

  • March 18, 2010 - Google has accepted the Linux Foundation as a mentoring organization.
  • March 29, 2010 - Applications open for students
  • April 9, 2010 - deadline to apply

Notes to take for students

  • Read the the 2010 GSoC FAQs
  • On your application be sure to mention which of the listed Linux Foundation projects you are applying for, if applicable. If you are suggesting your own idea be sure to clarify that.
  • Follow the scheme of our student application template.

Linux Foundation GSoC Project groups

The Linux Foundation sponsors development in different areas. Each area has a set number of GSoC projects available for 2010 as suggested projects which you can apply for and they are also open for your project suggestion.
