  • Both compiler changes and kernel changes needed.

• Question from Yoshi: are there mitigations for the x_86 32 bit support
  • Ben H.: nt at this point
  • Jan: there are rumours about somebody working on it. It will take time. This is a use case interesting for CIP.

• Question from Agustin B.: is there any specific impact on the -rt kernel related with Meltdown?
  • Ben H. not that Debian has experience in the 4.9 -rt kernel.
  • Jan: no conflict between the backported patches to 4.4 and the -rt kernel.

• B@D being updated to new kernelci version: #139
• Zoran Stojsavljevic's changes reviewed. Feedback provided.

• New system calls supported for 4.17 so in time for next LTS. The work is still not completed.
