本レポジトリは、The Linux Foundation のコラボレーティブプロジェクトである、OpenChainプロジェクトの公式文書の一つである、「OpenChain Specification」の公式日本語翻訳活動のためのサイトです。翻訳版取得・閲覧およびThe Linux Foundationを主としたオープンソース関連の翻訳については、以下をご確認ください。
This repository is a work place to translate OpenChain Specification which is one of Open Chain Project's official documents into Japanese. OpenChain is a project hosted as The Linux Foundation’s collaborative project. Please see below about details.

・本文書は、The Linux Foundation におけるOpenChain プロジェクトの英文ドキュメント「 OpenChain Specification 」の公式翻訳版となります。ただし、翻訳版と英語版との間で何らかの意味の違いがある場合には、英語版が優先されます。また、OpenChain は世界のメンバー企業が参加しているプロジェクトですが、資料の細部について必ずしも各国の法令に対応していない可能性があります。本翻訳版を日本で活用する際には、各企業の法務部門を加えた検討が不可欠です。
・This is an official translation from the OpenChain Project. It has been translated from the original English text. In the event there is confusion between a translation and the English version, The English text shall take precedence.
・日本語翻訳版の取得・閲覧は「RELEASE」フォルダからお願いします。本フォルダにはMS Wordファイル（.docxフォーマット）もしくはPDFファイルを格納してあります。版数は公式サイトの版数と対応します。
・You can get/see Japanese Translation version from “RELEASE” Folder in which there are MS Word file(.docx) and PDF file. The version in file name corresponds to original documents on the official OpenChain site.
・「RELEASE」フォルダ：前述のとおりです。翻訳版はこちらから入手ください。
・”RELEASE”: As explained above. Please get translated document from here.
・「RC」フォルダ：「RELEASE」前に翻訳者のレビューに用いるフォルダです。閲覧不要です。
・”RC” :Release candidate files are stored. Used for translators review. So you don’t need to care.
・「LICENSE」：本翻訳版のライセンスを記載したファイルです。ライセンスについては前述のとおりです。
・”LICENSE” File: License information is described here.
・「git」と記載のある各種ファイル：本ファイルはgithubリポジトリでの各種ファイル管理のために必要ファイルですので閲覧不要です。
・”git” files: These files are relevant to Github use for translators. You don’t need to care.
・「omegat」と記載のある各種フォルダ・ファイル：本翻訳版作成にあたっては、オープンソースのOmegaTという翻訳メモリツールを用いています。翻訳プロセスの価値これらのファイルが出力する「omegat」という名称のつくファイルやフォルダが多くあります。多くのファイルは閲覧する意義はありませんが、以下(1)～(3)については有益かもしれません。
・”omegat” folders or files: Our translation team use open source translation memory tool called “OmegaT”.These folders and files are relevant to this tool. Basically you don’t need to care about these , it may be useful for you to know following (1)-(3).
- (1)「glossary」：用語集です。同じくOmega-Tでの翻訳作業において使用した用語が登録されています。基本的にOmega-Tで用いますが、通常のテキストエディタなどでも閲覧できます。以下のように用語が登録されています

- (1)”glossary” folder: Glossary file used in OmegaT is stored. Translators refer/register terms through their translation. This is a text file so that you can see by text editor and so on. Content of the glossary file is as follows;

(2)「source」フォルダ：翻訳対象となる原文が格納されています。つまり公式サイトで公開されているファイルなどであり、ここにあるファイルがOmegaT上の翻訳対象となります。

(2)”source” folder: Original document to be translated is stored. This is basically OpenChain Specification original document published on official site.

(3)「target」フォルダ：「source」フォルダの原文ファイルの翻訳後のファイルが格納されていて、OmegaTの仕様上原文ファイルと同じファイル名になります。

翻訳作業はThe Linux Foundation JapanのLF-J Transチームで実施しています。he Linux Foundationで公開される各種オープンソース、オープンコラボレーションに関する文献の翻訳作業に取り組むことと併せ、日本発の「Collaborative Translation」をめざし、その実現のための各種プロセスについても議論しています。
