The Mobile Linux workgroup is rechartering to better leverage member participation and to concentrate on areas where we can make a difference.   The workgroup's mission is still to accelerate adoption of Linux on next-generation mobile handsets and other converged voice/data portable devices.

The initial governance of the Mobile Linux workgroup is very lightweight. If contentious issues arise, we can move to a heavier-weight structure, such as that used by the [[https://www.linuxfoundation.org/en/LSB_Charter#Leadership_and_Governance|LSB]].
