==== Kernel maintenance ====

  * Initial update provided by Ben H. about Spectre and Meltdown.

  * Patch review of 4.4 LTS and security patches. New CIP kernel to be released this week, if everything goes as expected.
  * Mitigation patches for arm64
    * Both compiler changes and kernel changes needed.
    * We do not have the right contact for the compiler at this point.
    * Ben H. question if ARM64 is in the scope of  CIP at this  point
  *  Question from Yoshi: are there mitigations for the x_86 32 bit support
    * Ben H.: nt at this point
    * Jan: there are rumours about somebody working on it. It will take time. This is a use case interesting for CIP.

==== CIP RT kernel ====

  * Question from Agustin B.: is there any specific impact on the -rt kernel related with Meltdown?
    * Ben H. not that Debian has experience in the 4.9 -rt kernel. 
    * Jan: no conflict between the backported patches to 4.4 and the -rt kernel.

==== CIP Testing and KernelCI ====

  * B@D being updated to new kernelci version: [[https://gitlab.com/cip-project/cip-testing/testing/issues/139|#139]]
  * Zoran Stojsavljevic's changes reviewed. Feedback provided.

==== Y2038 ====

  * New system calls supported for 4.17 so in time for next LTS. The work is still not completed.

==== ELC-NA Portland ====

  * Session schedule will be published End of January (January 26th is predicted date)
  * Any plans for a F2F TSC meeting? If so how long and when?
    * Candidate plan for Next TSC F2F meeting
      * 11th March, 2018 (Sunday), 9am to 4pm (Lunch around noon-1pm)
      * Note: ELC session 12-15
